Course and assessment
The external examination draws on UCO90 and UCO91 and contributes 40% of the qualification. The synoptic assignment draws across all three units and contributes 60%. UCO92 is required course content and is assessed through the assignment; it is not an external-exam unit.
Topic quizzes check learning across the course, including design. They are original revision questions, not official papers or a guarantee of examination coverage. Use PLC tasks to demonstrate extended understanding and the actual live brief and centre guidance for assessed work.
HB1–HB3 are website identifiers. The official unit codes use the letter O: UCO90, UCO91 and UCO92. This is the Level 1/2 Technical Award, not a professional hairdresser or beauty-therapist qualification.
