Using these resources
Both written papers last 1 hour 45 minutes and each contributes 50% of the GCSE grade. The compulsory Spoken Language endorsement is separately reported and adds no marks to that grade. Paper 3 labels in site selectors mean that endorsement, not an additional written examination.
Use substantial authentic nineteenth-, twentieth- and twenty-first-century texts alongside these short original examples. Practise current official tasks. Quizzes sample knowledge; extended analysis, writing and actual presentations require teacher judgement.
